Pete Lawson

Managing Partner

Pete Lawson was most recently the executive vice president of business development for Curae Health where he was responsible for acquisitions, M&A financing and organic growth of same store facilities. Prior to Curae Health, he was the managing director and co-head of hospital M&A for Raymond James, assisting rural health systems in acquisitions and financing. Before Raymond James, he was the executive vice president for Health Management Associates, Inc. (HMA) for 16 years in both operations and development.

Pete has been employed in the healthcare field for nearly 40 years; starting as a hospital staff employee, numerous hospital CEO roles, and the last 20 years in corporate executive leadership. Pete’s executive management experience has been both with investor owned healthcare corporations—including Humana, HCA, Phymatrix and Health Management—and joint ventures with not-for-profit systems as well as physician investors.

Pete received his bachelor of business degree, with a concentration in management information systems, from the University of Notre Dame and his master’s in health administration from Duke University. In 1995, he was awarded Modern Healthcare’s Up and Comer Award; he is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is a FINRA-certified Investment Banking Representative (Series 63 and 79).
